пол. политический мученик (представитель каких-л. политических сил, чья трагическая биография используется для создания политического мифа, способствующего утверждению в обществе идеологии этих политических сил; биографии политических мучеников составляются по канонам мифологии, согласно которым герой наделяется исключительными стойкостью, преданностью, проницательностью, храбростью, бескорыстием и аналогичными добродетелями; в угоду канонической схеме могут быть фальсифицированы действительные факты и события; в случае смерти политического мученика поклонение памятным местам, связанным с его жизнью и деятельностью, входит составной частью в партийный, национальный или государственный ритуал)
